Representatives of the Department of International Cooperation – Tereza Kalousková, Jitka Králová, Yvona Vyhnánková, and Niels Hexspoor – attended the EAIE (European Association for International Education) conference in Sweden (9. – 12. 9. 2025). The 35th edition of this unique conference and exhibition was hosted by the city of Gothenburg, which welcomed 6,500 participants from more than 100 countries around the world.
Palacký University, along with more than 20 other Czech universities, had the opportunity to present its institution at the Study in Czechia booth, which was led and financially supported by Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS). Niels Hexspoor presented UP at the Aurora Alliance booth. The four inspiring days were full of meetings with representatives of institutions from Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. The representatives enjoyed a lot of meetings with UP partners and also with partners-to-be. They discussed existing and future cooperation within Erasmus+ programme, summer schools as well as degree programmes.
On Wednesday afternoon, Czechia-Norway-Finland networking took place at the Study in Czechia booth, where new contacts were established On Thursday, Czech and Greek universities connected in a similar way.
The workshops and sessions were also higly beneficial. The topics included Erasmus without paper, virtual exchanges, blended mobilities, sustainability, green Erasmus, students´recruitment, well-being or mental health. The conference also offered a unique opportunity to learn about the outlines of the new Erasmus+ program period.
Last but not least, the conference also provided a great opportunity to strengthen relations with other Czech universities. The results of the conference will be presented to the vice-deans for international relations and will be further developed in follow-up meetings.
