Friday 31 October 2025, 12:27

Are you an exchange student at the Faculty of Arts? Are you an ardent photographer – or do you just enjoy capturing moments around you? Take part in a photo competition that will allow you to show how you see Olomouc.

The theme of the competition is "Olomouc through my eyes." It can be an everyday scene, a new discovery, a cultural difference – anything that inspires you.

How to apply?

Send your best photo in a digital form in JPEG or PNG format with a minimum quality of 2 MB (or higher) to simona.cerna@upol.cz and add a short description.

The deadline is November 23, 2025.

A panel of experts consisting of Dr. Veronika Gigalová (Social Photography Gallery), Martina Honzáková (student photographer), and Antonín Šrejber (student photographer) will select the three best photos, whose authors will receive a prize in the form of voucher for the UPoint university store.

Competition rules:

  • The competition is organized by the International Office of the Faculty of Arts.
  • The competition is open to international students who are currently enrolled at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University for a semester/year-long study stay or an internship.
  • Each participant may only enter the competition on their own behalf and may submit only one photograph.
  • The photograph must be in JPG or PNG format (with the author's name and a short description), with minimum quality of 2 MB.
  • Photographs must not be edited in a way that would alter their original image (adding objects, etc.).
  • By entering the competition, participants agree to the rules of the photo competition and consent to the publication of their first and last names in the event of winning the competition.
  • The results of the competition will be published on the website of the faculty and on the faculty's social media.
  • Winners will receive notification of the results by email.
  • The photos will be published in an online gallery.
