Remus Li-Kuo Chen, director of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Prague, spoke about Taiwan’s role in today’s world at the Department of Asian Studies (26 Svobody Street). He delivered a lecture titled “Resilience, Values, International Partnerships: Taiwan as a Shining Example,” with the subtitle “The Exciting Journey of a Veteran Diplomat.” Remus Li-Kuo Chen has been working in the Czech Republic for just under a year. He came to Olomouc at the invitation of Kristína Kironská from the Department of Asian Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Palacký University, who has long focused her research on Taiwan and also leads a project at Palacký University titled “Global Taiwan Chair.”
